Old machines still have plenty of life left in them.
PiMyRetro is about retrogaming and retrocomputing, with a strong focus on the hardware itself: consoles, computers, handhelds, and accessories that shaped several generations of gaming and computing.
This is not just about collecting old hardware or putting it on a shelf. I like opening these machines up, understanding how they work, repairing them, restoring them, and sometimes modifying them so they can still be enjoyed today.
Modern displays, improved video outputs, electronic repairs, restorations, hardware mods, accessories, and software setups: the articles document these projects as they happen, including the problems encountered along the way and the solutions that eventually worked.
PiMyRetro also includes my personal selections of games and books for many of these platforms. They are not intended to be exhaustive catalogues, but rather collections of titles that I believe are worth discovering or rediscovering.
